Garlic & Rosemary Crackers

May 5, 2012 by Ariel 2 Comments

I love making salty things to snack on.  I used to think that homemade crackers wouldn’t taste as good as the store bought ones but I rapidly changed my mind the second I tried those amazing Garlic and Rosemary crackers.  The recipe is super easy and very customizable the second you have a bit of imagination.  Hope you enjoy like 🙂

– INGREDIENTS –

2 cup of flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of crushed sea salt

3 – 4 tablespoon of dried rosemary crushed

1 tablespoon of garlic powder

1/3 cup of olive oil

2/3 of warm water

1- Pre-heat the over at 400 and grease a baking pan

2- Put all the ingredients together and mix well till it can form a ball of dough

3- Roll your dough as thin as possible (but not as thin as paper) and cut each crackers with a cookie cutter. **

4- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.  The time will really depend on what type of cookie cutter you used.  For a smaller cookie cutter shape like I used, cook only 10 minutes and for a normal size one, cook 12 minutes.  It’s always a good idea to look at them during the cooking time and don’t wait till they get too brown on the top before removing them from the oven because even when you get them out, they continue cooking for a couple of minutes.  Transfer them on a cooling rack and wait a little bit before eating them 🙂

** I used the small cookie cutters from Golda’s Kitchen

What Sodium Carbonate can do for you…

A delicious ramen bowl have been on my mind for days and my last experience, months ago, in New York is starting to feel like a distant memory.  I’m salivating to the thought of a delicious, silky and salty broth and the chewy texture of homemade noodles but my palate can barely grab on to this souvenir as days goes…
